Ia Orana Tahiti

JOW is safely tied up, stern-to in Marina Taina, Papeete. We left Auckland on 20th May, 8 days 17hrs (2256nm) later we are in the tropical paradise of Tahiti.

It was a relatively uneventful delivery, the last 4 days spent on a tight reach in 25-30kts with quite large seas meant there was little chance for fishing, the boat handled conditions well and kept our average speed around 12kts. We now have a few days to catch up on some much needed sleep and change delivery crew. Thank you Mark “Frodo” McDuff for being an entertaining watch keeper, for our next leg Emma is joining us.
