San Francisco 2016
‘Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair’……..
What a sight – sailing under the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge on a warm sunny summers day. And a moments panic to see if we fit under the bridge! Of course we do – we’ve been here before. But the thrill never leaves you. Its fantastic!
Our base in San Francisco is Sausalito – a lovely affluent suburb a short drive from the city itself. A lovely welcome from our friends at the Schoonmaker Point Marina marks the start of a lovely few weeks in the US of A.
We enjoy a few days sailing around the bay plus enjoy an afternoon in the midst of the Red Bull Air Race! And a trip to San Francisco would not be the same without a trip to a Giants game at the At & T park downtown. What a night.
Great to be back in San Francisco – but before long our time is up. And our 6 month trip is coming to an end. Time to set sail back to the land of the long white cloud, not without a stopover to Hawaii first…
