The Beautiful Far North

Our summer cruise continues with a trip to the Far North. We left Auckland in 35kts of wind, motoring up to Kawau Island where we anchored in Bon Accord Harbour and went for a BBQ and a few drinks at the Kawau Island Yacht Club. From there we pushed North to visit Whale Bay, Russell, the Cavalli Islands and Whangaroa. The weather has been great and the fishing much improved, well done Captain Chris who caught the biggest Snapper. The very playful and sociable local pod of Dolphins visit us here at anchor off Russell, playing around the boat as if it is just for our entertainment. The Bay of Islands is amazing, as always.
